Nadhi (2022) is a Tamil-language romantic action drama directed by K. Thamaraiselvan. The film follows Tamizh (Sam Jones), a college student and aspiring badminton player from a modest background, who falls in love with Bharathi (Anandhi), a girl from a powerful, caste-conscious political family. Their relationship faces severe opposition from Bharathi’s family, leading to Tamizh being falsely accused of murder. With the help of a politically connected relative, they seek justice, culminating in Bharathi making a bold decision to protect Tamizh and his family.

While the film aims to address caste discrimination and social disparities, critics have noted that it falls short in execution. The narrative starts strong but loses momentum, with some scenes lacking depth and coherence. Performances are mixed; Anandhi delivers a commendable portrayal of a strong-willed woman, whereas Sam Jones’s performance is seen as less impactful.
