Disco Raja (2020) is a Telugu-language science fiction action film directed by Vi Anand and starring Ravi Teja in a dual role. The story follows a group of scientists at Relive Biolab who discover a frozen body in Ladakh and use experimental technology to revive it. The man, initially identified as Vasu, gradually regains his memories through a walkman and realizes he is Disco Raj, a music-loving gangster presumed dead for 35 years. As Raj uncovers his past, he confronts old enemies, including rival gangster Burma Sethu and former ally Anthony Das, leading to a series of revelations and confrontations.

Despite Ravi Teja’s energetic performance and a unique blend of sci-fi and gangster drama, Disco Raja received mixed reviews. Critics praised the film’s concept and Teja’s portrayal but criticized its convoluted narrative and underdeveloped characters. The film’s box office performance was underwhelming, recovering only 37% of its investment and being labeled a commercial failure.
